Set in the roaring world of Al Capone, The Great Gatsby, and Harlem Nights, this hilarious tale had a recurring run in a Covington, GA Dinner Theater. Also called Gangster Duke.
YOUTH PROJECTS
TL GIRLZ
Formed in 2020, TL Girlz were a Detroit-based youth girl group created for a special project promoting positive, anti-bullying, and message-driven music for young audiences. Their drama-infused songs addressed real coming-of-age struggles faced by adolescents and teens—crafted to entertain, educate, and inspire. Members included Alexis (5th grade), Camille Eman (6th grade), Nella B (6th grade), and Zoë (7th grade). As part of the project, TL Girlz appeared on Fox 2 News, performed for DABO Detroit, featured on several radio stations, and released a five-song EP.
BROWN SKIN GIRL
A commissioned work written by Vanessa Lynn, Brown Skin Girl features an all-teenage female cast and follows four high school friends preparing for a night of fun at their school dance. What unfolds are moments of friendship, conflict, insecurity, and the pressures of living in a social media–driven culture. Each girl goes on a personal journey to love the brown skin she was born in. Infused with powerful poetry, monologues, and choreography, this moving piece has been performed in Dallas, TX; Columbia, SC; and Wilmington, DE.
LADYBUGS JEWEL HUNTERS
A children’s collaborative project with 3 Sisters Studios, Ladybugs Jewel Hunters, a pilot multi-media project that included a comic book, original music, a music video, and fun activities. Premise: While away at summer camp, three tweens--Hanna, Nzinga, and Jamilah—are chosen by an ancient queen and gifted with superpowers to recover the world’s stolen jewels. Their secret mission forces them to outsmart an evil hag while keeping everything hidden from rival cabin mates and their camp counselor. A community-driven entertainment brand, the Ladybugs Jewel Hunters series blends music, dance, academics, technology, and adventure to teach life lessons in friendship, teamwork, and self-esteem—the true jewels within.
